My first intentions were to go for the exact same look that Krylon (the source of the pin) had on their site. I went out to hunt down the primer and paint they had listed but ended up going in a slightly different direction. The materials I used are as follows:
Once everything was dried, reassembled and hung back up it completely changed the look of the kitchen and complimented the black appliances nicely. Several people actually thought I had purchased new fixtures. Instead of spending almost $500 purchasing new lights, I spent roughly $20 and have a totally new look. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone trying to update on a budget. It's a great weekend DIY project!
